Should Mobile Phones be Banned in Schools?

            In the last few years, there has beenan explosion in the use of new communication technologies, including mobile phone, it’s estimated that over 70% of young people aged 10-14 now own mobile phone. Considerable debate has taken place in the press recently as to whether pupils should be allowed to take their mobil phone to school.

            Students should be allowes to bring mobile phone in school, because it can be used to communicate with parents. Parents often never knew where their children were until they come here, so with mobile phone, parents can check up on their children or students can give important information id necessary.

            Mobile phone can be helpful tool in emergency situation. If students in a crisis situation, mobile phone can allow students to contact friends for help. This can be so important for students.

            Beside, mobile phone can help students in their study. The students can use the dictionary in mobile phone to find meanings for difficult English words. There are many useful applications in mobile phone such us calculator, internet browser, etc. with internet, students can find many knowledge to help their study. If students only use mobile phone before and after school and during breaks time, there are no reason that mobile phone are banned in schools.

            The  effective way if there are students using mobile phone in class time is reprimand they. If the students repeat it, we take phone and the parents should come to get it in school. If we catch students using phone in class time for third time, no mobile phone at all.
